  • Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA's)

  • "Flip" Trusts or NIMCRT's

A specific subtype of CRT’s, “flip” trusts can be a helpful tool to allow the trust time to liquidate a noncash asset, such as real estate or a closely held business. This trust feature is technically referred to as a Net Income with Makeup Trust, or NIMCRUT/NIMCRAT.

  • Charitable Lead Trusts (CLT's)

  • IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD's)

Many retired donors receive little or no tax benefit from their charitable giving due to the structure of current tax law. Giving by way of direct IRA transfers to charities, known as QCD’s, can be a critical tool to work around this issue.

  • Donor Advised Funds (DAF's)

DAF’s provide a low-cost vehicle to accomplish two goals: separate the timing of your tax deduction and your charitable giving, and liquidating noncash assets before an eventual gift to one or more charities. Once the DAF receives cash or liquidates a noncash asset, the cash is either donated, or invested before being donated at a later date.
